Bay Area buildings, from towers to campuses.

San Francisco and the Peninsula bring dense, high-traffic buildings: office towers, converted lofts, life-science buildings and the biotech campuses of South San Francisco. Lobbies stay on show from early morning to evening, so day porter coverage and restroom rounds matter most.

The South Bay runs on campuses. A tech campus spreads people across several buildings, so the route has to link them and time each stop to its own peak. A lobby at one end of the campus should never wait on a café at the other. Downtown San Jose adds high-rise office lobbies. See porter coverage in San Jose.

East Bay and Tri-Valley properties.

Oakland mixes high-rise offices, civic buildings and restaurants. Berkeley pairs downtown offices with maker and lab spaces. Further south, Fremont and Hayward hold large manufacturing and distribution buildings, where porter rounds follow shifts and docks.

The Tri-Valley is business-park country, with office parks in San Ramon and Pleasanton and research and industrial buildings in Livermore. Walnut Creek and Concord round out the area with Class A offices, medical buildings and retail centers.

Sacramento, the Central Valley and the North Bay.

Sacramento holds state and government offices and high-rise office buildings. Rancho Cordova’s office parks, Roseville’s retail centers and corporate offices, and Elk Grove’s medical and retail space each call for their own mix of day and exterior coverage.

Stockton and Modesto anchor the Central Valley with distribution centers, food processing and warehouses. Santa Rosa brings professional and medical offices plus hospitality and retail. Each region keeps its own rhythm, and the walkthrough sets the hours building by building.

Northern Nevada coverage.

Reno and Sparks form a major distribution hub, full of fulfillment buildings and plants. Crews there change shifts around the clock, so routes follow the shift clock rather than office hours. Fernley adds fast-growing distribution and manufacturing east of Reno, and Carson City brings state government offices and a manufacturing base. Plant offices and front lobbies in these buildings still keep office hours, so they get a daytime loop of their own.

Shift-change rounds, breakrooms and docks matter most here, with day coverage for offices and hospitality in Reno. See porter coverage in Reno, or read how warehouse porter rounds work.

A few useful answers

About our service areas.

Do you cover cities that aren't listed?

Yes, when the building sits near a city on this page. Send the address and we confirm the route before booking the walkthrough.

Can a portfolio across regions use one porter plan?

Yes. Bay Area, Sacramento, Central Valley and Nevada buildings can be planned together.

How are porters assigned to a building?

Each building is staffed for its own route and hours, and the same porters work it from day to day, so they learn its tenants and trouble spots.

Do porter plans differ between the Bay Area and the Central Valley?

Yes, because the buildings differ. Bay Area buildings need more lobby, restroom and campus coverage, while Central Valley and Nevada buildings need more shift-change rounds, dock passes and exterior work.

What do you need to plan coverage for a building in a new area?

The address, building type, busiest hours and the areas that need attention. The walkthrough fills in the rest.

Can a porter route link buildings in neighboring cities?

Yes. Routes connect nearby properties, such as offices in San Mateo and Redwood City, so each building gets coverage at its busiest hours.
